WHAT does Ted Kennedy's endorsement of Barack Obama really mean?

In addition to seriously boosting Obama's chances for the Democratic nomination by anointing him as the generational heir to John F. Kennedy, there's something else that's just as important for the body politic: Kennedy, Obama and the voters of South Carolina may have tolled the death knell for the Clintons' reprehensible politics of personal destruction.

It's about time.

For more than 30 years, no one has been able to stop Bill and Hillary Clinton from routinely acting on their shared base instinct to annihilate anyone who gets in their way, in whatever way it takes, however long it takes, whatever it costs - and then to enjoy watching their targets suffer.

It is not working this time because other Democrats don't hate Obama the way they hate Republicans. If they were using it against Republicans the Kennedy's and the other Democrats would be cheering them on and the media would still be marveling at their ability to mislead with a straight face. If Hillary Clinton wins the Democrat nomination don't look for any of these people to object to their sleaze.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
