UK Muslims offended by measures to stop bombings

Now this is rich, .... bomb sniffing dogs offend Muslims (Islamic terrorists too, no doubt.) So dogs may no longer come in contact with Muslim passengers. Feel better? No worries.

POLICE sniffer dogs trained to spot terrorists at railway stations may no longer come into contact with Muslim passengers – after complaints that it is against the suspects’ religion.

A report for the Transport Department has raised the prospect that the animals should only touch passengers’ luggage because it is considered “more acceptable”.

In the Muslim faith, dogs are deemed to be spiritually “unclean”. But banning them from touching passengers would severely restrict their ability to do their job.

Some Muslims are hyper sensitive. In fact they must be the most easily offended people in the world. But if they would rather see their fellow passengers explode, that is a sensitivity too far and it raises the question of what their real motive is in objecting to the security measures. I am just insensitive enough to not really care that it bothers them to be searched for bombs. It is better to have hurt feeling than mass murder for Allah. Hat tip Larwyn.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
