The problem with Piers Morgan

Daily Mail:

Please don't kick out Piers, we don't want him back! British critics launch counter-petition to make sure he stays in U.S.

That is one problem.

I have watched a few segments on video of his show and think his biggest problem is that he does not bother to listen to what he is being told.  He has a preconceived narrative and he is not willing to really engage his guest so much as shout insults at them if what they say does not fit his narrative.  For that reason he is ill suited for the job he has.

While the recent spats have raised issues of the 1st Amendment and the 2nd Amendment to the constitution, having to watch him regularly would violate the 8th Amendment prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment.

Gregory Kane also makes a point about Morgan's "style."
...
In the wake of the horrific tragedy in Newtown, Conn., Morgan has been on a nightly gun control rant, going on and on (and on and on and on) about the "insanity" of America's "gun culture."

Is this what liberals meant when they said now is the time to have a "meaningful conversation" about the issue of gun control? Because it's not going to be much of a conversation if it starts off with one side dismissing the other as "insane."
...
Kane goes on to make a point about the "conversation."   Morgan is up front about wanting to repeal the 2nd Amendment and Kane believes that is the real agenda behind the push for more gun control.  While I view the chances of that happening as remote, we should be aware of what our adversaries objectives are.
