Cyber war gets its own command
Washington Post:
Trump to elevate Cyber Command in effort to strengthen U.S. defensesI think this is over due. Too often the US appeared to be caught flat footed during the Obama administration by cyber attacks from around the world. China and Russia were some of the big players, but the US was also attacked by North Korea and Iran with mostly feeble responses.
Cyber Command — currently part of the National Security Agency — will become the 10th unified command in the U.S. military, on par with main combatant bodies such as Central Command.
