Christian concern about moving US embassy to Jerusalem makes no sense
Washington Post:
In the US most Christians seem pleased with the move of the embassy.
I have always thought the Palestinian claim to Jerusalem was specious. It appears to be more out of spite than based on in viable claim of ownership. In all of recorded history, Jerusalem has only been teh capital of the Jews. There is zero mention of it in the Koran and the building of a mosque near the temple looks like an attempt at religious suppression and the story about it is pure fantasy about a dead man on a flying horse.
In the Middle East, Christians stew over Trump’s Jerusalem moveIs there any place in the Middle East where Christians have more freedom of worship than they do in Israel? How many Christian churches are in Gaza? How about most Arab countries. In Turkey historic church builds were converted to mosques or torn down, yet for some reason, these people think moving the embassy to what is already Israel's capital is a problem?
As Vice President Pence prepares to visit the region, the White House is facing an awkward backlash from the Christians it pledged to protect after its decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and move the U.S. Embassy there.
