Democrat impeachment efforts are not supported by a majority of voters

PJ Media:
Democrats are predicting a blue wave will take the House of Representatives in November. They've been predicting this ever since big Democratic wins in Virginia last year. However, the party has seemingly bet the farm on hopes of impeaching President Donald Trump -- and that's a losing idea among voters, who are finally seeing through the madness and media narratives.

According to a Marist Poll released earlier this week: "A plurality of registered voters (47%) say they would definitely vote against a candidate for Congress who wants to impeach the president. 42% would definitely vote for a candidate who has that intent, and 10% are unsure."

Roughly 30 percent of Democrats would either vote against such a candidate or aren't sure. While 70 percent still makes it a popular idea among Democrats, the real battle is in the general election -- where impeachment doesn't look good.

Marist reports: "Among Republicans, 84% would not back a candidate seeking to impeach President Trump. A plurality of independents (47%) say the same."

In other words, impeachment is not the winning platform Democrats think it is, and it may even cost them a chance at the House.

The Democrats response to this problem with the voters is to double down on trying to relitigate the 2016 election.
...
The Democrats seem determined to take the advantage of running in opposition to an unpopular president and toss it as far out the proverbial window as possible. Previous attempts to win voter support by taking such unpopular positions as gun control, raising taxes and forcing people to use gender-neutral pronouns have predictably fallen flat and even caused the party to lose some ground in generic polls. Suing to overturn an election on flimsy grounds also seems unlikely to resonate with many potential voters.

The new lawsuit is just one more sign that the Democrats have no clue how to win back the voters that defected to Donald Trump....
This is a "hail Mary" lawsuit with little to no prospect of accomplishing its stated objective.  They will have trouble even getting service on some of the people sued and they will subject themselves to a discovery process that is likely to be deeply embarrassing for them.

On top of that their theory of the case will like result in a counterclaim where there is already abundant evidence that it was the Democrats and the Clinton campaign who colluded with Russians on an opposition research document which was dressed up to look like an intelligence report attacking President Trump and his campaign.

They may find themselves responsible for all the legal fees incurred in responding to the bogus claims they pushed in the dossier.
