The 'resistance' backfires on Democrats

Washington Examiner:
House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., declared Saturday that President Trump will be an "asset" for Republicans competing in the 2018 midterms.

Speaking to reporters after giving a speech at his state's GOP convention in Milwaukee, Ryan exclaimed that people in swing states like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan care most about issues that impact them personally, and not troubling stories for the president that have been a mainstay in the media.

"The president is strong in these states," Ryan said, according to the Associated Press. "He's an asset. ... Whether I'm running around southern Wisconsin or America, nobody is talking about Stormy Daniels. Nobody is talking about Russia. They're talking about their lives and their problems. They're talking about their communities, they're talking about jobs, they're talking about the economy, they're talking about national security."

The Democrats have devoted about 18 months to pushing a narrative for which there is no evidence and shrinking support, i.e. Russian collusion.  It is a narrative that never made much sense and grew out of the Clinton campaign's attempt to explain their loss and blame it on something other than their bad candidate. 

Meanwhile, Trump has forged ahead with his agenda and it is bringing jobs and increased prosperity for more Americans.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
